Welcome to YarnStory, centrally located on South King Street in Honolulu!

Walk into YarnStory and find natural fibers for knitting and crochet. You will also find roving from Maluhia Farm on the Big Island, spindles and tatting supplies.
We carry cotton, silk, hemp, linen, wool and alpaca. You will also find myraid combinations of those fibers. Need tools? You can find knitting needles (straight, dpn, circular) in bamboo, metal and birch (Brittany). We carry Addi turbo lace needles in a variety of sizes. Crochet hooks are also available. YarnStory is happy to announce that we are now carrying Knitter's Pride needles. Currently we have the Cubics and the Dreamz interchangeable needles in a wide variety of sizes. The Knitter's Pride interchangeable needles have a wide variety of options for cable lengths, 16, 24, 32, 40, 47 and 60 inches. As well as the Knitter's Pride interchangeable needles, YarnStory also carries dpns in the Cubic and Nova lines.

Looking for yarn for a shawl? Check out Zauberball, Baby Alpaca Lace from Misti Alpaca, or Legacy Lace from Brown Sheep. The Malabrigo lace colors are vibrant and the yarn is unbelievably soft. We are currently waiting for our first order of Rios, a superwash worsted yarn, to arrive from Malabrigo.  If you like to knit socks, we carry Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in multi, stripe and solid,  Wildfoote by Brown Sheep in bold solid colors, naturally colored yarns by Cestari, as well as Tofutsies,  Zauberball Crazy and other sock yarns.  YarnStory carries cotton in a rainbow of colors. We also stock HempforKnitting, check out the KCC Farmer's Market Bag on the Designs page. This project requires only two skeins of allhemp3 to create a strong but light bag to carry your produce home from the market.

YarnStory strives to provide natural fibers produced by local (United States) companies when possible. We are happy to carry yarns produced by Brown Sheep, Cestari,  Harrisville Designs, Lorna's Laces, and Schaeffer Yarns. You can also find locally dyed yarn, handpainted by Nadezhda's Crayon Box.
