TATTING CLASS

Did you know that tatting dates to 19th century France?  Did you know it is a method of constructing lace by a series of knots and loops using a shuttle, your hands and a fine thread?   Now that you know, come learn and perpetuate the art of tatting.

YarnStory is offering classes in tatting led by an experienced instructor.
Students will learn to tat by first mastering the two color/chain method.
This class is appropriate for beginners with no tatting experience and those who want to refresh their basic technique.

 Next Session: Friday,  February 24, 2012                      5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
                                                     Cost: $15.00  plus $5.00 materials fee.


Open Knit First Friday of the Month

YarnStory will be hosting an open knit from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  March 2nd
Bring your knitting and come talk about yarn!  YarnStory will have various hat patterns, as well as tips and tricks, available for those interested in participating in the community knitting event to benefit the American Cancer Society.


"Tips, Tricks and Tutoring" 
Drop in and drop $5 in the pink bowl to receive assistance on knitting techniques, navigating patterns, triage on problem projects. 
This is an informal tutoring session, bring your knitting and your questions. Tuesdays from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
Don't see a class listed on the technique you want to learn?                  We provide customized group classes based on your needs.
Private lessons are tailored to your skill level and the techniques you want to learn, hourly rate.  
Classes require a deposit at time of registration.  Deposit will be refunded if student withdraws more then 24 hours before scheduled class. Management reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment.  Deposits will be returned in the event of cancellation due to low enrollment.
